Here’s an overview of Imperial Agent. For more information and gameplay recommendations, check out this SWTOR Imperial Agent Guide.

Today, massive multiplayer online role playing games are one of the main stream gaming genres. Whether you love them, or hate them, MMORPGs have left an enduring stamp on gaming culture. The rogue who always has a quick line and a quicker knife, the scout who silently stalks his pray, the long arm specialist that strikes down targets before they even hear the shot, all of these represent the traits the exemplify members of a stealth class. Star Wars: The Old Republic has taken the stereotype of the stealth specialist and added it’s own unique twists. As with other faction based, player versus player games, each faction has it’s own version of the archetype. The Republic finds allies among the free spirited Smugglers. They are nothing more then a homage to Han Solo, abet a well deserved one to a fan favorite. The SWTOR Imperial Agent represents a more drastic and unique twist on the stealth specialist.

Imperial Agent

The contrast between the Smuggler and Imperial Agent highlights the differences between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Disparate and strongly independent forces coming together to face a common foe has long been a theme in the Star Wars universe. Imperial Agents are not lone guns and defiant rogues striking at their enemy from the shadows before retreating back to it. Instead they are the eyes, ears, and trigger fingers of the Empire. The shadows are not the sanctuary of a SWTOR Imperial Agent, they are instead their hunting ground.

As a SWTOR Imperial Agent, a player faces a choice as they advance in the game. An Agent may specialize as either an Operative or as a Sniper. An Imperial Sniper is feared for their ability to take down their target and then disappear only to do it again. A lone specialist, Snipers are capable of turning the tide of battle when acting in support of a strike team. Imperial Operatives are not specialists, but generalist. Regardless of what the missions requires, an Operative has the tools needed to complete it. Operatives, like the Republic Scoundrels, are also the only classes capable of healing their allies. In SWTOR, Imperial Agents play an important part in the grown power of the Sith Empire. As enemies or allies, the Imperial Agent is to be respected.
